Funky Indeed!

I can totally imagine this in an old video game! Great job!

Breath-taking Remastering

How could anyone give this a 1/5? They're just jealous :P

Hmmm...Swag!

Swagilicious, I must say! The loop sounds pretty clean, even on Newgrounds. Good job!

superuberinsaneausm responds:

thanks!!

Oh...My...God!

I really can't find anything wrong with this song. It just so EPIC!

Nice Arrangement of An Epic Song!

I applaud you for even attempting to recreate such a masterpiece as this song. I applaud even more for doing a good job with it! Here's a more detailed review:

Pros:
- The song sounds clean and fluent.
- Instruments sound high-quality, or at least higher-quality than the original.
- It has the same feel as the original; still just as exciting.
- Sound of song is full. Nice panning on timpani.

Cons:
- The timpani sounds slightly overpowering with headphones. Try a little tone-down.
- The synth at 0:39 is too quiet. It sounds very cool there; just bring up the volume!
- Even though the song is orchestrated, try bringing out more bass.
- I hear background rustling at 0:29 and 1:00.

Even though this arrangement is almost 5 years old, I hope the advice is helpful. Good luck in the future!

Realmguys responds:

Thank you for the insightful feedback. Where were you 5 years ago! Haha, jk. Anyhow, I was thinking about doing this song again, with all the new stuff I have and see how it turns out. I will take your advice and observations to heart. Thanks again.

Very Creative

I think you're effort was overall very solid. Here's a more detailed review:

Pros:
- The song's mastering is good; no over-compression.
- Both styles of music you were going for are clearly defined (DnB drum and classical strings).
- It also loops very well.

Cons:
- The song is repetitive. Try creating a memorable melody for each section of the song.
- Also, try branching out instrument-wise. Try adding a piano or something else to take place of the strings in some parts.

Good job, and good luck in the future!

Thanks very much, Im glad you enjoy it and next time I write I'll remember what you said (y)

I'm Liking This!

Here's a breakdown of the song:

Intro (0:00-0:12) - nice buildup; perfect lead synth and background sequence.

Second Melody (0:12-0:24) - also good; nothing sounds off.

Repeating First Melody (0:24- 0:37) - the change in synth keeps the song exciting. Switching the focal point from the melody to the counter-melody is ingenious!

More Melody Repeating (0:37-0:49) - sounds good. One note, though: the background synth pad seems to lag a little. Maybe using a different synth or taking off reverb and delays can help.

Change Up (0:49-1:14) - using the piano was very creative to break up the song. The distorted kick/snare at 1:02 is a little unpleasant to the ears, though.

From 1:14 onwards it repeats.

Overall, a very solid effort. Only two parts seemed a little off (pad and distorted kick/snare). The mastering is well-done, also.

One more tip: try cleaning up the loop; it's sounds a little off.

Good job, and good luck in the future!

Cam3leon responds:

Wow, thanks for that VERY thorough review! Much appreciated, I'll take it all into consideration next time! :)

I'm a fan of making epic remixes of RPG music (the game, not the gun.) If you have any requests, just PM me.
